First impressions last. I believe this relates to newly launched establishments as well. The first day Koala Tea opened in Lahug, I was so thrilled to try their milk tea soft serve with boba so I made sure I get to swing by to try it before people start lining up for it.
I was flying solo that night but it never stopped me from ordering both the soft serve ice cream and milk tea(MT). Haha. I always have my MT served with zero sugar and less ice, so I get to taste the balance of the tea and milk. But unfortunately the blend tasted like watered down creamer, and my soft serve looked like thawed ice cream.
But I believe in second chances, so I had the urge to go back last week to give Koala Tea‘s MT soft serve ice cream another shot. And it was such a delight that the taste was so much better than the first time I’ve had it. Waay waaay better! It’s not overly sweet this time and it doesn’t look like molten cream anymore. So hurrah! Will try the milk tea the next chance I get to drop by.
