For most of us being unable to travel, the closest we get to sojourning to a country or city we miss is through food. And Tamp Cafe & Co‘s specials somehow fills the pining with their worldly eats, and flavors inspired by our neighboring Asian countries.

This charming hole-in-the-wall dining spot is tucked in a quiet street in Kasambagan, and is now on their soft opening. Well lit with warm lights and natural light coming in from floor-to-ceiling glass walls, the restaurant presents a welcoming and cozy ambiance. Decked with natural greens, add a relaxing touch to its overall feel.

Tamp Cafe & Co menu includes all-time favorite comfort food, highlighted with cafe specials – dishes inspired by flavors of Singapore, South Korea, Thailand and more.

Their menu mostly consists of delectable homey comfort food like angus beef cheesesteak, pork ribs, slow cooked pot roast beef, fish & chips, torched salmon and quinoa salad, and more – but this blogpost focuses on the “Cafe Specials” that you should try when you visit!

Bak Ku Teh is a Singaporean pork rib soup made with tender prime pork ribs, dark soy sauce, garlic, star anise, cinnamon and other Asian spices. The rainy weather during my visit or me missing Singapore and my friends in the Lion City made me love this dish the most. It’s fragrant, light yet tasty broth is best enjoyed as a soup, but best enjoyed with hot steaming rice.

If you watched Netflix’s Street Food, you’d be familiar with Jai Fai’s Crab Omelette. Tamp’s crab omelette version is flavorful with a hint of sweetness, served with Thai street cilantro and house salad. Yum!

I just love Korean chicken! And I appreciate how Tamp’s Sticky Korean Chicken Wings are made with the right amount of sauce and flavors – not too saucy, a tinge of sweetness, a tickle of tangy, crunchy on the outside, tender and juicy on the inside. Ahhh! Delish!

Crispy Chicken Masala on Cilantro Rice Pilaf , and Shrimps in Thai Street Cilantro Sauce are also dishes I’d love to try again when I visit. I was too full to enjoy ’em after stuffing myself with a good bowl of Bak Kuh Teh. Teehee!

After a great meal, a great cup of coffee is for sure a good idea! Gladly, Tamp serves specialty coffee too! <3
