Who would have thought a cafe like this would exist in idillic Aloguinsan. Walk in Mandy’s Coffee Shop and be greeted with an appeasing garden patio, and an informative map of Aloguinsan adorns one side of the cafe’s wall which made me even more giddy for our next day’s itinerary around the alluring municipality.
Stayed overnight at Hidden Beach Resort, so we’d be early in Bojo River, and be at Hermit’s Cove in time for lunch the next day. Mandy’s Coffee Shop is pretty close (10-minute drive tops) where we were staying, so giving this cafe a shot is kinda called for.
The restaurant offers coffee, tea and other beverages, plus local pastries and home-baked cakes, and sandwiches.
We ordered the iced beverages – latte and choco, paired with their home-made banana loaf and torta. The coffee were made with fresh grounds, and a mild roasty sweet espresso scent enveloped the indoor dining area when it was set in the machine. The drinks were good, and the local delicacies were nostalgic, which reminded me of my lola’s baking.
