The first time I had a Big Tom’s Burger was years ago during the opening week of their maiden branch in the Capitol area. I’d admit I wasn’t a fan of the brand when I had the Chili Con Carne Burger during my initial visit, and even after I had the Jalapeno Kick Burger during my second stop.
I was checking out the first ever Oakridge Bride Box Wedding Fair with a business partner during the outset of the recent weekend and we thought of having lunch first before signing in for the event. We were torn between having ramen and burger, but since several groups were still waiting for tables at Yushoken, Big Tom’s was the obvious choice.
I again had the 4 oz patty Jalapeño Kick Burger – the bottom bun with the house specialty spread, garnished with lettuce, 100% pure sirloin beef patty, cheddar cheese, tomato, pickled jalapeño and capped off with sesame bun. This time, I quite enjoyed the burger. I thought the patty was well seasoned, and it was juicy but not excessively oily. And I love the jalapeno tinge as well. I think that the 6oz patty would’ve been a better choice though.
Big Tom’s Charbroiled Burger Oakridge branch is located at A.S. Fortuna St. Mandaue City Cebu. Parking available. Cash and card payments accepted.
