Yesterday we had ngohiong for lunch, and just now, the last pack of ngohiong was served for dinner. Yes, my family loves this Chinese Cebuano delight, specially the classic and original tasting from Unit 62 Ngohiong House.
Formerly Angela’s , the original family recipe since the ’80s is said to be the exact same comfort food enjoyed back then. Since ECQ, they have been selling frozen packs through their socials (FB & IG) so everyone can still enjoy ngohiong at the comforts of home.
1. Defrost ngohiong and sauce
2. Heat pan & oil. Be sure that the oil is hot enough before frying.
3. Deep fry ngohiong for 5-10 minutes, until golden brown.
4. Heat sauce in a pan, or microwave.

And you might be wondering why Unit 62 is the name of the ngohiong house. It’s to honor the owner’s family tradition, and Angela’s was once run by a fireman volunteer and his Unit number is 62. 🙂
